I've been interested in computers and computing my whole life, my family got our first PC in the mid 90s.
In 1998, when I was 14, my family set up our family website www.lott.co.uk.
Soon after, in 1999 and at the age of 15, I set up several gaming fan sites for games that were popular at the time,
with the aim of monetising my part of the website by placing adverts on those pages.
For several years afterwards I would get sent cheques in us dollars, payable to my father as I was under 18, from places like Santa Clarita and Hollywood in the United States.
In 2002, I started working in eCommerce by setting up a business selling computer components from my bedroom, a USB hub was a top-seller at the time.
In September 2002, I closed the growing and profitable eCommerce business to attend the University of East Anglia (UEA) to study Computing Science.
In 2005, I finished my undergraduate studies and met my wife Monica. Soon after I was offered the opportunity to undertake a PhD at UEA.
Together with Monica in 2007, I co-founded the partnership that would become Miss Shoes Ltd, a £3million turnover business that today occupies a site approximately 1000m2 in Norwich.
